The NAYGN Continental Conference Scholarship provides eligible students an opportunity to attend the conference at a lesser cost to themselves – making NAYGN’s networking and professional development opportunities more accessible to those pursuing work in the nuclear sector.

What Is NAYGN?

Developing leaders to energize the future of nuclear

North American Young Generation in Nuclear (NAYGN) is a 501(C)(6) non-profit organization which provides opportunities for a young generation of nuclear enthusiasts to develop leadership and professional skills, create life-long connections, engage and inform the public, and inspire today’s nuclear technology professionals to meet the challenges of the 21st century.

NAYGN was established in 1999, and now consists of 100+ Chapters across North America.

About the Conference

NAYGN is proud to announce our second stand-alone Conference, starting Sunday, June 2nd and concluding Wednesday, June 5th, 2024 in beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina with morning plenary at the Knight Theater and afternoon breakouts at the Mint Museum Uptown. This year’s conference is celebrating 25 years of NAYGN Energizing the Future of Nuclear! This Conference is for young professionals in the nuclear industry that are eager to engage in professional development, soft skills training, technical discussions, and networking with industry executives.

 

NAYGN is pleased to offer a student conference scholarship opportunity in which select students will receive complementary registration, hotel, and travel accommodations for the 2024 NAYGN Continental Conference.

Scholarship Eligibility

Students (including graduate students and graduating university/college seniors) currently enrolled in a North American academic institution (college/university/trade school) with an interest in working in the nuclear sector (e.g., engineering, health physics, technology, policy, skilled trades, HR, operations, communications, law, etc.) are eligible to apply.

Scholarship Details

Conference Registration, Reasonable Airfare, and Shared Hotel Accommodations with another scholarship student will be provided for the selected students.

Other Travel Expenses, such as Meals and Other Incidentals, will NOT be covered through this opportunity.

​

Please note that limited scholarships are available, so students are encouraged to apply early.

Application Deadlines

Students must complete the application, to include your Resume, by

Friday, April 5, 2024.

The conference committee will select and notify scholarship recipients no later than Friday, April 12, 2024.

A.

I am available to travel to Charlotte, North Carolina on June 2nd and depart either June 5th or June 6th of 2024.

B.

I am eligible to travel on airlines within the United States.

i.

U.S. Citizen requires having either a valid Driver's License/ID or a U.S. issued Passport.

ii.

Non-U.S. Citizen requires having a Passport issued by your home country and meeting the Visa requirements to enter the U.S.
