About the Drawing Contest

In support of our desire to communicate the benefits of nuclear power to the general public, we invite elementary schools around North America to participate in our Annual Drawing Contest.

Every year, Local NAYGN Members visit schools, give a brief presentation to 4th and 5th graders on the topic and rules of the contest, and encourage them to participate. This year, the theme is Nuclear Technology In My Community, emphasizing the wide variety of benefits that Nuclear Science and Technology can supply.

Selections from the Drawings received by Friday, March 29th, 2024, will be displayed, voted on and chosen online through public voting on the NAYGN website in May 2024.

The school library of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Finalists will receive a collection of books and reference materials on nuclear science and technology, with the name of the winning student inside the cover, honoring their accomplishment.

Students placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place will each receive an NAYGN T-Shirt, a Science Kit, an Award Certificate, and an Honorary Membership with NAYGN.

The 1st Place Contest Winner will also receive a Tablet.
